For Vishal Vishwakarma, the pain of poverty wasn’t a statistic—it was the air he breathed. Growing up in a marginalized community, Vishal knew the biting cold of inadequate shelter and the heavy silence of a home where food was never guaranteed. He saw brilliant minds in his neighborhood dimmed by the lack of opportunity and felt the sting of a society that often overlooks those at the bottom of the economic ladder.

But where others saw despair, Vishal saw a spark that just needed a chance to catch fire. He didn’t just want a better life for himself; he pledged to be the bridge for everyone left behind.

In 2023, with nothing but a relentless vow to bring change, Vishal founded the KV Jankalyan Trust.

Unlike most founders, Vishal’s “seed capital” didn’t come from investors—it came from his own sweat and toil. To keep the lights on for the children he serves and to fund healthcare for the forgotten, Vishal has embraced every honest labor imaginable. He has been:

• A Puppeteer and Theatrical Performer, using art to bring joy while earning pennies for the cause.

• A Food Delivery Rider, racing against time to fund a child’s books.

• A Salesperson and Laborer, taking on “menial” jobs without a shred of hesitation or ego.

Vishal believes that no job is too small if it serves a purpose as large as human dignity. Every delivery he makes and every show he performs is fueled by a single thought: “So another child doesn’t have to feel the pain I felt.”
